
Hurricanes Conclude Competition at Florida Relays
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Miami track and field team wrapped up competition Saturday at the Florida Relays with a pair of top program marks at the Percy Beard Track.
Desmond Coleman opened the day in the discus with a third-place finish with a throw of 57.77m.
Josh Jones clocked a 1:49.68 in the men’s 800m, marking the fifth-fastest time in program history.
In the men’s 400m, George Franks ran a 46.15, the fourth-best time in school annals.
The Hurricanes will have a week off before returning to action at the Mt. SAC Relays, Wake Forest invitational and Tom Jones Memorial.
