Three Hurricanes Tabbed ITA Scholar-Athletes
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – A trio of Miami men’s tennis players were named ITA Scholar-Athletes Monday afternoon, as announced by the association.
To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, the honor goes to student-athletes with at least a 3.5 GPA for the academic year. Miami also earned the ITA All-Academic Team status. The honor goes to all teams with a combined cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 for the academic year, as the team recorded a 3.22 combined GPA.
Senior Adrien Burdet, junior Martin Katz and freshman Yannik Rahman all earned ITA academic distinction for their achievements in the classroom.
Burdet posted a perfect 4.0 GPA this year while pursuing an economics degree. As a recent Miami graduate, Burdet was named a CSC Academic All-District and All-ACC Academic honoree and earned a spot on the President’s and Provost’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List.
Pursuing a degree in management, Katz was named to the Provost’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List, while earning CSC Academic All-District and All-ACC Academic honors. He recorded a 3.86 GPA for the 2023-24 academic year.
In his freshman year, Rahman posted a 3.68 GPA while majoring in finance.
