Moser to Host UMSHoF&M/Hurricane Club Golf Tournament
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Two-time All American decathlete and UM Sports Hall of Fame & Museum member Aaron Moser has been tapped to serve as the celebrity host for the 31st annual UM Sports Hall of Fame & Museum Celebrity Golf Tournament to benefit the Hurricane Club, to be held on Thursday, October 19 at the luxurious Biltmore Golf Course in Coral Gables.
“I am beyond excited to be part of an amazing group at the University of Miami Hall of Fame & Museum,” Moser said. “To be asked to serve as Host as a rookie Hall member is very humbling. We look forward to having a reunion of fellow members along with hosting our fans and contributors to our event. The University of Miami gave me the opportunity to get an amazing education, while also the memories on the track and football field. I want to take this opportunity to give back for everything the University has given to me.”
One of the finest track and field student-athletes in University of Miami history, Moser was set two NCAA records and was named All-American in 2000 and 2002. He was a two-time Big East indoor heptathlon champion and a three-time Big East outdoor decathlon champion. Moser also played football at Miami, earning Special Teams Player of the Year in both 1999 and 2000.
“This year we are thrilled to have Aaron Moser as our host,” said UMSHoF&M Past President and Golf Chairperson, Tracy Kerdyk. “Come join Aaron and other Hall of Fame athletes for a fun day of great golf and memorable times. Every year our tournament has gotten bigger and better and this year we expect another sellout. Sign up early!”
The golf tournament is scheduled for Thursday, October 19 and kicks off with registration and lunch at 11 a.m. followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start on the 18 holes at the luxurious Biltmore Golf Course. An awards reception featuring live and silent auctions, will follow the golf tournament.
