Hurricanes Announce 2023 Cross Country Schedule

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Miami Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Amy Deem has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2023 season. The schedule includes four regular season meets and three postseason events.

With three new additions to the men’s team and four on the women’s side, the team looks forward to competing in the fall. Highlighted runners for the Hurricanes include junior Daphnee Lavassas, junior Elle Mezzio, senior Oskars Bambals, and junior Austen Cannon. A full roster for the Hurricanes can be found HERE.

The squad will start the season next week at the FAU Invitational in Boca Raton, Florida on September 1. A few weeks later the Hurricanes will travel to the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis for the Roy Griak Invitational on September 22.

The FSU Invitational, hosted by Florida State in Tallahassee, will be next on the list on September 29. The Alabama Invitational hosted in Tuscaloosa will take place on October 13 and will be the last meet before the postseason.

Postseason races begin October 27 as the team will travel back to Tallahassee to compete in the ACC Cross Country Championships. Following the conference championships will be the NCAA Regional Championships in Gainesville, Florida on November 10, and the NCAA Championships at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia, on November 18.
