Hurricanes Announce 2023 Season Schedule
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Head volleyball coach Jose “Keno” Gandara announced the Miami Hurricanes’ full schedule for the upcoming 2023 season Wednesday.
The Hurricanes, coming off their second straight NCAA postseason appearance, will start the preseason with two “orange and green” scrimmages and an exhibition match against Barry, with all three matches set to be held at the Knight Gym Sports Complex in Coral Gables, Florida.
The Canes Classic, also to be hosted in Coral Gables, will feature a showdown against Maryland on August 25 and FIU on August 26. The Hurricanes will then travel to the University of South Carolina for the Gamecock Challenge, where they’ll take on South Carolina on Sept. 1 and Troy University on Sept. 2.
The team continues its road slate with a trip to the Wisconsin Tournament hosted by the University of Wisconsin, facing the host Badgers on Sept. 8. The Hurricanes wrap up that weekend trip with a match against Arizona on Sept. 9.
After four straight road trips, the Hurricanes return home to Coral Gables to compete in the 305 Challenge against Indiana on September 15 and both Stetson and Jacksonville on September 16.
Starting September 22, the Hurricanes volleyball program will begin conference play on the road against Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, N.C.
