Flory Qualifies for World Aquatics Championships
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami men’s diver Max Flory competed at the USA Diving National Championships in Morgantown, West Virginia, hosted by USA Diving.
In a field of 130 of the nation’s best competitors, Flory earned himself a silver medal in the 10-meter platform dive, with a final score of 914.55.
At the beginning of the week, Flory and former teammate, Zach Cooper, captured silver in the men’s 10-meter synchro dive, with a score of 713.52.
Flory’s success paved the way for him to garner a spot to represent the United States at the World Aquatics Championships held in Japan in July. This presents Flory an opportunity to secure a qualifying spot for next year’s Olympic Games.
The World Aquatics Championships are set to start Jul. 14, 2023 in Japan.
