Farouk, Flory, & Scapens Compete at 2023 NCAA Men’s Diving Championships

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The University of Miami men’s diving team had three of its divers compete at the 2023 NCAA DI Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships.

Divers Mohamed Farouk, Maxwell Flory, and Brodie Scapens each qualified for competition at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, hosted by the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and Minnesota Sports and Events.

Scapens competed in the 3-meter dive preliminary round with a score of 357.00.

Farouk and Flory both competed in the 1-meter, 3-meter, and platform dives. Farouk qualified for the platform dive finals, earning an All-American title, placing eighth in the nation (339.70).

Flory began his week of competition earning an honorable mention All-American in the 1-meter dive and boasting ninth place in the nation, with a score of 384.95.

On the final day of competition, Flory was named an All-American once again, with an honorable mention in the platform dive, taking home 10th in the nation.
