CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Olivia Grønborg signed a National Letter of Intent to join the University of Miami golf team for the 2023-24 season, head coach Janice Olivencia announced Monday.

“Olivia is an athlete and a very skilled and talented golfer,” said Olivencia. “She is a competitor with a strong work ethic and has played at a high level, representing the Danish national team and Nova Southeastern.”

Grønborg, a native of Snekkersten, Denmark, helped the Danish national team to the 2019 European Team Championship title.

“Olivia will thrive in our culture and environment here at Miami as she is willing and determined to improve in all aspects of the game and as an individual,” Olivencia said.

Grønborg played her freshman season at Nova Southeastern, where she was the 2023 Sunshine State Conference individual champion, the Division II National individual champion, and the Division II Freshman of the Year. She also led the Sharks to a runner-up finish at the NCAA Division II National Championship.

“I’m confident Olivia will have a tremendous impact on our team both on and off the course,” Olivencia said. “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome her to our family and to have her represent the orange and green.”
