Byrne Advances to the NCAA DI Women’s Golf Championships Finals

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – University Miami sophomore Sara Byrne punched her ticket to the finals of the NCAA DI Women’s Golf Championships Wednesday afternoon.

Byrne placed third individually at the Palm Beach Regional, with a 54-hole score of 214 (-2), at the par-72, 6,315-yard PGA National Resort.

The Douglas, Cork, Ireland native recorded a career-best third-place finish at the Palm Beach Regional. In the final round, Byrne shot a 74 (+2).

Byrne will travel to Scottsdale, Ariz., to compete in the finals of the NCAA DI Women’s Golf Championships at the Grayhawk Golf Club on May 19-24.
