Canes Selected to NCAA Tallahassee Regional

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami golf team was selected as the No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional.

Regionals will take place May 9-11 at Seminole Legacy Golf Club where the Canes competed earlier this season for the FSU Match Up.

“We are excited to go to Florida state because we played there early this year,” head coach Patti Rizzo said. “It is probably the best region we could have got if we had the choice.”

The Hurricanes will be joined by 11 other teams, in order of seed – No. 1 South Carolina, No. 2 UCLA, No. 3 Florida State, No. 4 Ole Miss, No. 5 Illinois, No. 6 Mississippi State, No. 8 Denver, No. 9 North Florida, No. 10 College of Charleston, No. 11 Georgia Southern and No. 12 Quinnipiac.

This is Miami’s 11th regional selection in 12 years under Rizzo’s leadership.
