Volleyball Earns Third-Straight AVCA Academic Award

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s volleyball team earned the USMC/American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2019-2020 season.

The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors both high school and collegiate volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade point average of 3.30.

The Canes earned a 3.316 GPA last season led by Cameron Dobb’s 4.0 GPA, Elizaveta Lukianova’s 3.78 GPA and Emily Damon’s 3.67.

This is the third-straight season Miami has earned the team award, fifth overall.
