CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s basketball team is set to host its first of three consecutive Sunday games this weekend.
Miami (15-4, 3-1 ACC) will square off with North Carolina Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in its first RSN-televised contest of the season.
Jenn Hildreth and Kelley Deyo will call the game on RSN—it is available locally on FOX Sports Florida—and it can be found on ACC Network Extra, subject to blackout, HERE. The action will also be carried live on WVUM 90.5 FM HERE and live stats for the matchup will be available HERE.
As is the case at all home games, team posters and schedule cards will be available at the marketing table by the main entrance. The first 100 fans and first 100 students in attendance will receive a free Miami shirt.
The Hurricanes are 9-13 in their all-time series with the Tar Heels, but own a 5-2 record in the past seven meetings and have won each of the past three outings. In the most recent contest, Miami notched a 92-72 road victory on Feb. 4, 2018.
Miami is coming off a 58-50 triumph at Duke Thursday night, the first win at Cameron Indoor Stadium in program history. Redshirt junior forward Beatrice Mompremier led the way with game highs in points (16) and rebounds (17), while senior forward/center Emese Hof posted 13 points and eclipsed 1,000 in her career. Sophomore guard Mykea Gray added 12 points, her eighth double-digit outing in the past nine games.
North Carolina enters the weekend at 10-8 (1-3 ACC) on the season. Sophomore center Janelle Bailey leads the Tar Heels in scoring and rebounding with 16.6 points and 8.8, respectively, per game. After finishing 15-16 (4-12 ACC) last year, North Carolina was voted No. 7/8 in the ACC preseason voting.
Following its game against North Carolina, Miami heads to Syracuse, N.Y., where it takes on No. 12 Syracuse Wednesday at 7 p.m.
