Weber and Darquea Named WGCA All-Region

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Freshman Dewi Weber and junior Daniela Darquea from the University of Miami Women’s Golf Team were named to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-Region Teams on Tuesday.

The All-Region teams are based on the top-10 finishers and ties at each of the NCAA Regional Championships.

Weber was named to the team after she paced the Hurricanes at the NCAA Regional in Bryan, Texas. The Netherlands native finished the regional with a three-round total of 210 and placed third. Her third-place finish was her lowest finish of the year and fourth top 10 finish this season.

Darquea earned a spot on the all-region team after she tied for eighth with a three-round total of 215. The Ecuador native has finished in the top 10 on seven different occasions during the 2015-16 season.

Both Weber and Darquea will compete in the 2016 NCAA Championship this weekend in Eugene, Ore.
