@CanesRowing Heads to Orlando for UCF Invite
ORLANDO, Fla. — A week after traveling to South Carolina for a regatta, the University of Miami rowing team will race in their home state
The Hurricanes are back on the water this week, traveling to Orlando, Fla., for the UCF Invitational. Miami will face off against Tulsa, Old Dominion and the host, UCF.
“This is our first back-to-back travel experience this spring, but we are prepared,” Miami head coach Dave Sanderson said. “We have had a solid week of training and look forward to each race with UCF, Tulsa and ODU as we develop and progress with an eye towards ACCs.”
The four schools will race in three sessions over two days. The Canes will race a 1V8+, 2V8+ and V4+on Lake Pickett, home to the UCF rowing program.
“Heading into the UCF Invite, we appreciate the opportunity to race locally while implementing the lessons we have learned through the spring racing season,” Sanderson said.
