Our #MusicMonday series has featured some of our favorite pre-game songs.

Whether they are songs associated with Miami football or legendary stadium anthems known to hype the crowd, you probably have seen them listed on #MusicMonday over the past month.

Last week’s #MusicMonday debuted our players’ favorite pre-game songs with center Shane McDermott’s selections. The junior, who was named to the 2013 Rimington Trophy watch list, enjoys country music before kickoff.

This week’s edition of #MusicMonday looks at the man receiving McDermott’s snaps, Canes quarterback Stephen Morris. The senior QB is very particular about his pre-game music selections, listening to

Morris heads into his senior year as one of the top quarterbacks in the ACC. Selected the Hurricanes’ Offensive MVP following the 2012 season, Morris gives insight into what he likes to listen to before a big game.

“Club Paradise” by Drake and “Nobody’s Perfect” by J. Cole

“I listen to these songs because before a game I like to be calm,” Morris said. “Some guys like to hear music that gets them hyped, but these two songs are perfect examples of music that helps me focus before a game. I usually would just have these songs on repeat thinking about the game we are about to play.”
