Sept. 21, 2011

Coral Gables, Fla. – The No. 21 University of Miami volleyball team is set to continue its three-match road swing this weekend traveling to Virginia Tech (Sept. 23) and Virginia (Sept. 25) in the Commonwealth State. Throughout the season, HurricaneSports.com will be running a Q&A series titled “Can U Dig It” with student-athletes from the volleyball team taking you inside their world and allowing you – the fans – the chance to learn more about them away from the court.

This week, HurricaneSports.com sits down with junior defensive specialist Lizzie Hale from Menlo Park, Calif. Upon the conclusion of her sophomore season, Hale picked up the team’s Unsung Hero Award and the Co-Academic Award. Hale is a serving specialist and has worked more on her defense since her freshman year.
