5th Annual Hurricanes Salute to Women in Sports

Coral Gables, FL – On Thursday, February 8, 2007, the University of Miami Athletic Department hosted the 5th Annual Women in Sports Day event for 120 middle school girls at the Knight Sports Complex and Cobb Stadium on the UM campus.
The children had the opportunity to work on their skills in five different sports with help from members of the UM Volleyball, Rowing, Soccer, Track and Cheerleading teams.
The event concluded with all the participants attending the Hurricanes vs. Wake Forest women’s basketball game at the BankUnited Center.
