Phlatts Lead Hurricanes At Auburn Invitational

Auburn, AL (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami junior DeeDee Phlatts (Silver Spring, MD) completed the five kilometer course in a time of 18:28.24 to finish 52nd and lead the women’s cross country team to a 15th-place finish at the Auburn Invitational at Indian Pines Golf Course in Auburn, AL.

Phlatts has been the Hurricanes top finisher at all three cross country meets this season.

Iowa (16 points) won the team title while Iowa junior Diane Nukuri won the individual title in a time of 16:10.12. Host Auburn placed second with 93 points. Miami recorded 488 points to finish 15 out of 24 teams.

Miami sophomore Ena Leufroy (Atlanta, GA) was the Hurricanes second best finisher placing 97th in a time of 19:14.20.
