Hurricanes 10th At NCAA Regional Championships

Gainesville, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – Freshman Ryan Woodlee (Silver Spring, Md.) completed the 10K course in a time of 32:36.53 to lead the University of Miami men’s cross country team to a 10th-place finish at the NCAA South Region Championships in Gainesville, Fla.
Woodlee, who was also Miami’s top finisher at the ACC Cross Country Championships, was one of five Hurricanes to finish in the top-100. Senior Alex Brutvan (Boca Raton, Fla.) placed 60th in a time of 32:51.00, junior Zach Castiglione (Brighton, Mich.) finished 64th in a time of 32:59.55, junior Tom Berry (Stamford, Conn.) finished 79th in a time of 33:26.06, and junior Jon Scheiner (Katy, Texas) was 82nd in a time of 33:28.74.
Miami, which entered the event ranked 13th in the South Region, posted 247 points. Alabama won the regional title with 40 points. Florida State was second (47 points) while host Florida placed third (77 points).
