Krawczyk Concludes First Day Competition at NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami’s Martyna Krawczyk (Looz, Poland) finished with a time of 1:12.29 in the preliminary round of the 100-meter breaststroke Friday at the 2004 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships in College Station, Texas.

Krawczyk’s time of 1:12.29 was good for 35th place, but failed to meet the cut for Friday’s finals.

The Hurricane swimmer will return Saturday to compete in the 200-meter breaststroke. Krawczyk set the UM school record in the 200 at the BIG EAST Championships earlier this season with a time of 2:15.34.

Saturday’s prelims are slated to begin at 11 a.m. with finals slated for 7 p.m.
