Miller Concludes First Round Of US Women's Amateur

University of Miami senior Tina Miller (Miami Archbishop Curley Notre Dame) recorded an opening round 83 and is tied for 140th at the 2004 US Women’s Amateur Championship at The Kahkwa Club in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Miller will tee-off at 12:55 p.m. on Tuesday for her final round of stroke play competition. Miller must finish among the top-64 players in order to advance to match-play competition.

Miller was the Hurricanes top finisher in six tournaments this season and posted a team-best 75.7 stroke average. She recorded two tournament victories this past season and registered six other top ten finishes. Earlier this summer Miller qualified for and competed in the US Women’s Open in South Hadley, Mass.
