Coral Gables, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – It’s official! The University of Miami is a new member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, joining Virginia Tech as the newest conference additions.

The ACC was founded in 1953 with seven charter institutions, and now stands at eleven schools. Boston College will join the conference next year. The Hurricanes are proud to be a part of such a prestigious conference.
