Etienne, Seward Represent Miami at 2004 U.S. Junior Track and Field Championships

COLLEGE PARK, Texas – Ginou Etienne and Amy Seward represented the University of Miami women’s track and field team over the weekend at the 2004 U.S. Junior Track and Field Championships held at the Frank G. Anderson Track and Field Complex on the campus of Texas A&M in College Park, Texas.

Etienne, a Miami native from Miami Central High School, qualified for the finals of the women’s 400-meter dash Friday with a time of 53.72 – the third fastest preliminary time overall – to win her respective heat, but was unable to finish the race in the finals held Saturday.

Seward, who hails from Virginia Beach, Va., finished third in her respective flight and eighth overall in the women’s long jump Saturday with a wind-aided mark of 6.03 meters.
