Olympic Sports Banquet to be Held Monday, May 3

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami will hold their annual Olympic Sports Banquet at 7 p.m. Monday, May 3 at the Convocation Center located on the university’s campus. The ceremony is free and open to the public.
Throughout the ceremony, 13 UM varsity sports including men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s track, women’s rowing, women’s swimming, men’s and women’s and diving, women’s soccer, women’s golf and women’s volleyball will recognize their respective seniors and name their Most Valuable Player from the past season.
Awards will also be given for the Male and Female Bowman Foster Ashe Outstanding Student Athlete, Male and Female Community Service Awards and Male and Female Academic Awards. The previously mentioned awards are open to any student-athlete regardless of the sport they participate in.
In addition to the awards ceremony, student-athletes will also display their musical talents.
