Krawec Makes Regional Team

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – – University of Miami rower Jenny Krawec was recently selected for the 2003 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-Region Team (South) as well as Second Team All-America honors.
“Jenny Krawec is an outstanding athlete who contributed greatly to the success of our varsity eight this year,” coach Debra Morgan said.
Krawec is a three-year letterwinner and a member of the Hurricanes’ varsity eight squad. She rowed in seven seat of the first varsity eight, starboard side. She was a bronze medallist at the 2002 SIRA Championships, a 2001 FIRA State Champion, and a 2001 SIRA Championships silver medallist.
In 2003, the Hurricanes’ varsity eight placed sixth in the southern region and 12th in the southern and central regions combined.
In order to be selected to the All-America First and Second Teams, the athlete must meet eligibility as defined by her institution, have participated in at least 75 percent of the season’s races in the varsity boat, and the student-athlete’s head coach must be a member in good standing of the CRCA.
