Hurricane Volleyball Qualifies For NCAA Tournament

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – – The University of Miami volleyball team extended its meteoric second season Sunday night when it was selected for the 64-team NCAA Tournament.

The Hurricanes will square of with the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Duke (11-5 in conference play, 24-9 overall) Friday, December 6 at 5 p.m. in Madison, Wisc.

The Hurricanes finished the regular season second in the BIG EAST Conference with a 10-3 league record and 25-5 overall.

This is the first-ever meeting of the Hurricanes and the Blue Devils.

Also included in the University of Miami’s bracket are Alabama A&M and the tournament’s no. 14 seed Wisconsin.
