Moser Withdraws From Decathlon

Baton Rouge, LA (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami senior Aaron Moser (Bonne Terre, MO) failed to record a height in the pole vault and withdrew from the decathlon competition at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Baton Rouge, LA.

Moser, who entered the second day of decathlon competition in 13th-place, opened the second day of competition with a time of 14.94 in the 110-meter hurdles garnering 857 points, and moving into 12th.

Moser remained in 12th-place following the discus after posting his second-best throw this season with a mark of 42.56 meters (139-07), good for an additional 717 points.

Moser, who earned All-America honors in the decathlon at the 2000 NCAA Championships, failed to clear his opening height of 4.55 meters (14-11.00) registering no points, and taking him out of contention.
