Citadel Publishing is pleased to announce the launch of CanesTime, The Magazine. CanesTime already provides comprehensive coverage of University of Miami athletics through its website at www.canestime.com. The magazine will debut in August, 2002 as a monthly periodical published 10 times a year. The magazine will be printed in a eye-catching glossy format similar to other high quality magazines like Sports Illustrated and will consist of feature articles covering all aspects of University of Miami athletics.
CanesTime.com is currently an online destination for coverage of Miami Hurricane athletics. The goal of the magazine is to take this coverage to a new level. “This publication will allow us to offer a completely new service to Miami Hurricane fans,” said Bryan Knoll, Editor-in-Chief of CanesTime. “The magazine will provide in-depth articles focusing on a variety of issues surrounding U of M athletics. In particular, our readers will be provided with unparalleled access and information to the players, coaches and facilities that make Hurricane sports the best anywhere.”
For the past six years, CanesTime.com (formerly Grassy.com) has provided Miami Hurricane fans with news and timely information. By doing so, it has become one of the largest communities for any college team on the Internet. “In just the past year our online presence has significantly increased in size and quality,” said Knoll. “CanesTime has worked closely with the University of Miami athletic department in the past and they are very supportive of this new venture.”
University of Miami Athletic Director Paul Dee added “We are excited for the launching of CanesTime magazine. Our fans are always looking for more ways to get information on the Hurricanes, and this initiative will allow them another opportunity. We wish them well.”
“Having provided recruiting content on the World Wide Web for the last several years, I am excited about the opportunity to reach a whole new audience with the magazine. Led by Larry Coker, the University of Miami’s recruiting efforts are among the nation’s elite and I look forward to being able to help spread the word on UM’s recruiting success,” added Mike Bakas, Recruiting Editor for CanesTime.
The publication sells for a yearly subscription price of $44.95 and will debut with a price of $39.95 for orders placed online. For more information on CanesTime, The Magazine, please visit www.canestime.com.
