Women's Rowing Hosts UConn, West Virginia and UCF

Coral Gables, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) — – The University of Miami women’s rowing program host Connecticut, West Virginia and UCF in racing this Saturday, March 23rd, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on the Hurricanes’ home course on Indian Creek in Miami Beach.
Along with the varsity women and novice women, the men’s club program will race as well.
The women’s varsity eight includes Jenny Lee (coxswain), Jenny Krawec, Jacqui Julien, Anna Cohen, Marijka Vander Pol, Monika Manios, Alli Nelson, Ananda Chou and Mandy Turner.
The women’s second varsity eight features Meg Venezia (coxswain), Julie Crane, Yassi Hairinia, Katie Weeden, Caroline Stuart, Jordanna Heywood, Yennisha Pino, Maggie Knuth and Sara Grossman. UM’s third varsity eight will consist of April Runkle (coxswain), Tyler McHugh Merrill, Melissa Saunders, Rachel Sander, Trisha Blackwell, Liz Miller, Deirdre Curran, Laraine Martin and Dorothy Clay.
On the novice side, the women’s eight will be Gaby Scovazzo (at coxswain vs. UConn), Maureen Haley (at coxswain vs. UCF), Harlee Bustamante, Ericka Miller, Patrice Wakeley, Michelle Owens-Wolcott, Lisa Beezer, Mary Radlinski, Cory Bell and Joelyn Manula. The second novice women’s four will be Dana Litt (coxswain), Alana Smith, May Lauron, Brandie Seuer and Makana Tocman.
The Hurricanes will next row at the San Diego (CA) Crew Classic, April 6 and 7.
