Varsity Women Look To Have Busy Weekend

Coral Gables, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami varsity women’s crew travel to Philadelphia, PA for the Head of the Schuykill Regatta on Saturday and then go to Princeton, NJ for the Princeton Chase on Sunday.

At the Head of the Schuykill Regatta on the Schuykill River, the Hurricanes will have one eight entry in the championship race and one in the club race. In the champion eight race, the UM boat will feature Jenny Krawec, Sheila Cornelius, Cathy Dunnet, Monika Manios, Amanda Turner, Dorien ten Have, Bridgett Gallagher, Jacqui Julien and coxswain Jenny Lee. The UM entry in the club eight race is Jordanna Heywood, Marijka VanderPol, Kate Weeden, Trish Gallagher, Yianna Reizakis, Ananda Chou, Stephanie Tilley, Ruza Rebac and coxwain Cina Quezada.

At the Princeton Chase on Lake Carnegie, both UM boats will row in the open collegiate eight race.

Following this weekend’s action, the varsity women will compete at the Head of the Chattahoochee Regatta on November 4 in Gainesville, GA.
