UM Cross Country Sweeps FIU

Coral Gables, FL – The University of Miami men’s and women’s cross country teams both defeated FIU Friday evening in a dual meet held at the UM campus in Coral Gables, FL.

The Miami women, led by senior Shannon Sarabyn, knocked off the Golden Panthers 15 to 50. Sarabyn (Centreville, VA) won her fifth consecutive race this season completing the 3.1 mile course in a time of 18:44.

The Hurricane men defeated FIU 28 to 29. Junior Jeff Gaulrapp (Baldwinsville, NY) led Miami with his fourth victory in five meets this season. Gaulrapp finished the four mile course in a time of 20:03.

The race was moved to the UM campus due flooding at Tropical Park.
