Located at5525 Interstate Parkway North, just off exit 22 of I-285, this sisterlocation to our previous venue offers a more open air atmospherealongwith an a nice outdoor patio area, 2 giant screen TVs (in addition tomanyTV around the building), exclusive viewing of Hurricane games on gameday,plenty of parking and the same great Sidelines menu and discounts asbefore. UM linebackers Coach Vernon Hargreaves will be in Atlanta recruitingin acouple of weeks and we are planning a welcoming party for him atSidelines(see above) on Wednesday, May 24 starting at 7 pm. Coming off agreatGator Bowl victory over Georgia Tech, and ranked #8 pre-season byAJC’sTony Barnhart, we are sure you will want to help us welcome CoachHargreaves to Atlanta, watch some special video of the Fall 2000 ‘Canesand ask every question you always wanted to ask. So, plan to come onoutand visit with the Coach and see our new Storm Watch Venue! Some oftheUM sports paraphernalia that will be auctioned off during the 9-15-00UMAtlanta Golf Tournament will be on display that evening. Our 2nd annual UM Summer Social will be Wednesday July19th atthe River Room Restaurant & Tavern in the Vinings onNorthside Parkway. This will be a dressy casual/business attireeventdesigned to appeal to all segments of the UM family. Complimentaryhorsd’oeuvres and a reasonable cash bar will be available. More detailswillfollow in the mail.
Your nationally-ranked UM Men’s Baseball team is destined to go to aregional tournament, if not farther. This past weekend the Canestook aseries win against Georgia Tech, ranked 4th in the nation, at TheLight.
The NCAA Regional Tournaments will be Friday 5/26 through Sunday 5/28andthe NCAA Super Regionals are scheduled from Friday 6/2 through Sunday6/4.The locations for those tourneys have yet to be named. The CollegeWorldSeries in Omaha, Nebraska begins Friday 6/4 and concludes on Saturday6/17Watch for details concerning same later in the month and we will showallavailable games on Sidelines elaborate satellite system. We wouldlove tohave a great crowd turn out to cheer the Canes to a second straightNational Title!
