Alejandro Rengifo was promoted to associate director of marketing in June 2018 after joining the University of Miami as an assistant director in December 2014.
He currently serves as the primary marketing contact for the four-time national champion baseball program and the women’s soccer program. In addition, Rengifo assists the department’s promotional and gameday experience efforts for football and men’s & women’s basketball with a focus on student attendance. Rengifo also oversees the scheduling and organization of the highly successful mascot program.
Prior to UM, Rengifo was an External Operations intern at Boston College, where he managed the marketing, promotions and fan experience for men’s & women’s soccer, baseball, women’s ice hockey and volleyball. In addition, he assisted with football gameday operations and the execution of in-game promotions as well as assisted with select men’s hockey and men’s & women’s basketball game day operations.
A 2012 (undergraduate) and 2013 (graduate) alumnus of the University of Miami, Rengifo interned with UM Athletics in 2013, and also served as a marketing intern at the BankUnited Center and Florida Citrus Sports.
