Bridget Bomhack Named Muscle Milk Athlete of the Week

Coral Gables, FLA (www.hurricanesports.com) – Junior Bridget Bomhack led the UM volleyball team to a pair of 3-0 wins in the season’s final week over North Carolina and N.C. State in Coral Gables. On Wednesday against the Tar Heels, Bomhack led the team with 12 kills and 12 digs, recording her seventh double-double of the season. In Friday’s win over the Wolfpack, Bomhack tied Genny Mayhew for a team-leading 13 kills in addition to recording her second double-double on the week, adding 11 digs to her 13 kills. She also led the team with a .391 hitting percentage against N.C. State, committing just four errors on 23 attempts. For the week, Bomhack hit .373, recorded 25 kills, 23 digs, seven assists and seven total blocks.
