Annika Saarnak Named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Coral Gables, Fla (www.hurricanesports.com) – Freshman swimmer Annika Saarnak has been named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for January 1-8, 2008.

Saarnak had a strong showing against Notre Dame Friday, Nov. 4, winning the 100-yard freestyle event in a time of 52.75, over a second ahead of Notre Dame’s Amywren Miller who came in second place with a time of 54.05.

Saarnak also placed second in the 200-yard free in 1:55.17 and led Miami’s 400-yard freestyle relay team to a first-place finish of 3:37.62, nearly eight seconds ahead of Notre Dame’s second-place finish.
