Keim Finishes Eighth In Olympic 3-Meter

Sydney, Australia – University of Miami senior Jenny Keim finished eighth in the individual 3-meter competition and teamed with platform gold medalist Laura Wilkinson to finish fifth in the synchronized 10-meter platform during Day 14 of the Olympic Games in Sydney Australia.
Keim, competing in her second consecutive Olympic 3-meter final, registered 534.18 points. Fu Mingxia of China won the gold medal (609.42) while teammate Guo Jingjing took home the silver (597.81). Germany’s Doerte Lindner won the bronze (574.35).
Keim finished ninth in the 3-meter springboard at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
Earlier in the day Keim took part in the women’s synchronized 10-meter platform. Keim and teammate Laura Wilkinson finished fifth with a five round total of 291.42 points.
The heavily favored Chinese team of Li Na and Sang Zue won the gold medal (345.12). The Canadian team of Emilie Heymans and Anne Montminy won the silver (312.03) while Rebecca Gilmore and Loudy Tourky of Australia took home the bronze (301.50).
