SWIMMING & DIVING AT THE U

Miami’s swimming and diving program has a long history of success at the collegiate and international level.

The women’s swimming program is led by head coach Andy Kershaw, who is entering his 12th season in 2024-25. Last season the Hurricanes scored the seventh-most swimming points with a school-record 391 at ACC Championships. Miami also set 10 school records – including all five relays – over the course of the season and had eight swimmers achieve a combined 15 NCAA provisional standards (to go along with four relays) – the best single-season tally ever.

The men’s and women’s diving program is led by head coach Dario di Fazio, who took over in 2024 after Randy Ableman retired. Ableman had served as head coach since 1989, coaching 14 divers to 26 individual national championships and coaching 160 All-America performances. Di Fazio was previously an assistant at Miami for 28 seasons and helped 11 UM divers capture 15 NCAA titles. He has also assisted in the development of 10 Olympians. Di Fazio was the USA Nationals coach from 1999-2002, 2010, and 2015-2023.
