Ariana Rodriguez - Volleyball - University of Miami Athletics

High School: Rodriguez enters Coral Gables with a list of accolades from her high school campaign. She was named MVP for her junior and senior year, was First-Team All-League and was named team captain the final two years of school. She led her squad to conference championships since 2016 and state championships since 2018.

Her career stats include 487 kills, 86 blocks, 178 digs, 134 aces, 380 assists and a 2.1 serve receive rate on a 3.0 scale. Playing for the Dominican Republic National team, Rodriguez has racked up multiple accolades to add to her resume. Most recently, she helped the DR to their fifth U23 Pan-American Cup title and earned MVP and Best Setter of the tournament. She was also tabbed Best Scorer and Server at the U19 Pan-American Cup. In 2022, she claimed the silver medal at the U23 Bolivarianos, bronze at the U19 Pan-American Cup, as well as notching best server, and competed at the U21 Pan-American Cup. In her first year on the national team in 2021, she won gold at the U23 Pan-American Cup, placed eighth in the world at the U20 World Championship in Belgium/Netherlands and placed 10th at the U19 World Championship.

Personal: Daughter of Suquin Fung, who played in the superior league in the Dominican Republic and Columbia volleyball team, and Elvis Rodriguez, was on the Dominican Republic National team and played professionally in Switzerland… Has an older sister, Iliana who played at St. John’s, Virginia Tech and the Dominican team, and an older brother, Elquin.
