2020 (Senior): Opened the 2020 season recording a double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs and registered two aces and one block in the 3-2 win over Georgia Tech (9/24)… Finished with three kills, 12 digs and one block against Georgia Tech (9/25)… Tallied 12 kills, seven digs, three blocks and one ace over the two-match series at Wake Forest where Miami defeated the Demon Deacons 3-1, twice (10/2 & 10/3)… Registered four kills, seven digs and two blocks in the 3-2 loss at Clemson (10/8)… Helped the No. 12 Hurricanes sweep Clemson with two kills, 11 digs and three blocks on Oct. 9… Registered a season-high 19 kills in the No. 11 Hurricanes 3-1 loss to FSU… (10/15)… Helped the Canes to a 3-0 sweep of FSU on Senior Day with nine kills and four digs (10/16).
Spring 2021: Started the second half of the season contributing all over the board with four kills, four digs, one block and an ace in the 3-1 win against NC State (3/6)… Posted seven kills, two digs and two blocks at Notre Dame (3/7)… In the sweep against Virginia, Kalaniuvalu finished with 11 kills, three digs, two blocks and one assists (3/13)… Helped Miami sweep Virginia in a non-conference match with four kills, two digs and blocks and one service ace (3/14)… In the five-set win at Duke, finished with 10 kills, one service ace and three digs (3/19)… Finished with an ace for the third match in a row, two kills and four digs in the 3-1 loss to Pittsburgh (3/20)…
2019 (Junior): In her first season with the Canes, Kalaniuvalu led the team in both kills (312) and aces (32), while finishing eighth in the conference with 0.31 aces per set…She also played in all 102 sets for Miami… In her first match in the orange and green, Kalaniuvalu recorded 13 kills, one ace and two digs against RV Missouri (Aug. 30)… Tallied her only double-double of the season against George Washington (Sept. 6) with 14 kills and 10 digs… Registered nine kills and eight digs against USF (Sept. 7)… At the Ad-Ran Cup, she tallied 20 kills over three matches, two aces and fives digs (TCU & Auburn)… Shined at the Sunshine State Challenge, posting eight kills against tournament winners FGCU, 17 kills and eight digs against UCF (Sept. 21) and 17 kills and three digs against FAU… Recorded 10 kills, one ace and one dig in her first ACC match against Wake Forest (Sept. 27)… Notched 16 kills, two aces and three digs at Duke (Sept. 29)… Against ACC Champions Pittsburgh, finished with eight kills, an ace, three digs and two blocks (Oct. 4)… Led Miami in kills against Virginia (Oct. 6) with 15 and a season-high five blocks… Again led the Canes in kills with 13 at UNC (Oct. 11) and four blocks… Tallied a team-high 17 kills against Syracuse with a season-high four aces (Oct. 18)… Finished with 15 kills and six digs over two matches at Clemson and Georgia Tech… Faced Florida State for the first time and led the team with 17 kills, an ace and five digs (Oct. 30)… Led Miami with 22 kills, eight digs and two blocks against Virginia Tech (Nov. 3)… Added 13 kills and three aces in the first match up against Louisville (Nov. 8)… Recorded 18 kills, four digs and three blocks in the lone match against Notre Dame (Nov. 10)… Battled against NC State at home with 22 kills, two aces, four digs and blocks (Nov. 15)… In the last away match of the season, finished with 11 kills, an ace and four blocks at Louisville (Nov. 24)… Finished the season with 15 kills, two aces and four blocks over two matches (FSU/Georgia Tech).
2018 (Sophomore/Southern Utah): Finished her final season with the Thunderbirds with Big Sky All-Conference Second Team honors after playing in 112 sets, averaging 4.03 kills per set and totaling 451. Tied SUU’s single-game all-time kills record with 30 in a match against Northern Colorado. The outside hitter also finished with the second most aces with 22 and added 276 digs at SUU.
2017 (Freshman/Southern Utah): Tallied 239 kills, the third-most on the team for the Thunderbirds, while recording 121 digs.
High School: Was named All-Valley Offensive MVP in 2016, First Team All-State and was an All-Tribune team member.
