2018 Indoor: Won the women’s 600m at the UAB Blazer Invitational with a time of 1:31.78 that ranks third all-time in UM history…Earned her first collegiate victory at the Red Raider Open, winning the women’s 800m with a time of 2:12.75… Member of winning 4x400m relay team at the Red Raider Open that ran a time of 3:41.84…Ran a collegiate-best time of 2:12.08 in the women’s 800m at the Power 5 Invitational, finishing fifth in Heat 4 and 12th overall…Member of 4x400m relay team that finished second at the Power 5 Invitational with a time of 3:38.53…Led the Canes in the women’s 400m at the Tiger Paw Invitational, winning Heat 10 and finishing seventh overall with a time of 54.20 seconds that is the fastest by any Hurricane this season…Won Heat 2 and finished third overall in the women’s 800m at the Tiger Paw Invitational with a personal-best time of 2:06.54 that ranks fourth all-time in UM history…Finished second in Heat 3 and eighth overall in the women’s 4x400m relay with a season-best time of 3:38.35…won Heat 3 of the women’s 800m with a time of 2:06.80 – third-fastest in preliminaries – and advanced to the ACC Indoor Championships final, where she finishied seventh with a time of 2:07.11…Johnson anchored a 4x400m relay team that won section 3 and finished third overall with a season-best time of 3:35.23.

Johnson is one of two signees from Miami’s Southridge High School that is joining the Hurricanes in 2017-18. A first team All-Dade selection, Johnson is the 2017 Florida Class 4A state champion in the 800m and on the 4x400m, while helping Southridge win the team state championships. Johnson also placed third in the state in the girl’s 400m and ran a personal-best in the 800m to win the event at Florida Relays in a time of 2:07.19. She was also the 2017 Golden South champion in the 800m. Johnson was a finalist in the 400m at the 2016 USATF Junior Nationals and was the runner-up in the 400m at the 2016 GMAC Championships. She took third place in the 800m at the 2016 FHSAA 4A state meet and was a finalist in the 800m at the Caribbean Scholastic Invitational in Havana, Cuba. Johnson was the 800m champion at the 2016 Louie Bing Classic, the Spartan Invitational, Bob Hayes Invitational and the Youth Fair Invitational. She also helped Southridge finish second as a team at the 2016 FHSAA Class 4A State Championships and helped Southridge qualify for the cross country state meet for the first time in over a decade. Johnson ranked tenth in the final all-class high school national ranking in the girl’s 800m.
