2018 Indoor: Was fourth in 60m hurdles at UAB Blazer Invitational with a time of 8.50 seconds…Member of 4x400m relay team that finished fourth at UAB Blazer Invitational with a time of 3:44.87…Placed fourth in the 60m hurdles at the Red Raider Open, posting a time of 8.50 seconds…Finished fifth in the high jump at the Red Raider Open with a mark of 1.73m…Won the pentathlon at the Power 5 Invitational with 4,096 points…Ran the fastest time in the pentathlon 60m hurdles at the Power 5 Invitational, winning section 3 at 8.56 seconds…Posted a season-best mark of 12.13m to finish second in the pentathlon shot put at the Power 5 Invitational…Was second in the pentathlon long jump at the Power 5 Invitational with a mark of 5.70m…Closed out the pentathlon at the Power 5 Invitational with a third-place finish in the 800m, posting a time of 2:17.53…Placed seventh in Semifinal 1 of the women’s 60m hurdles at the Tiger Paw Invitational with a season-best time of 8.43 seconds…Finished second in Heat 3 and eighth overall in the women’s 4x400m relay with a season-best time of 3:38.35…finished second in the women’s pentathlon at the ACC Indoor Championships, scoring a total of 4,159 points…won the 60m hurdles with a season-best time of 8.37 seconds and the shot put with a season-best throw of 12.18m before posting a personal record of 2:14.26 to win the 800m event…finished ninth overall in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.22 seconds…a part of the Hurricanes’ 4x400m relay team that won section 3 and finished third overall with a season-best time of 3:35.23.
2017 Outdoor: Finished third overall in the women’s 100m with a time of 13.66 seconds at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational… Finished seventh in the women’s long jump at 5.96m at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational… Ran 13.56 in the women’s heptathlon 100m hurdles at the Texas Relays
2017 Indoor: Placed second in the 60m HH final with a time of 8.37 seconds, and finished third in the women’s high jump clearing 1.69m at the VT Invitational… Member of the winning women’s 4x400m relay team at the Virginia Tech Invitational with a time of 3:38.56… Won the women’s pentathlon with a score of 3,984 points that ranks second in school history at the McCravy Memorial Invitational… Won Heat 10 with a time of 8.37 seconds in the 60m HH, was fourth in Section 2 of the finals and sixth overall with a personal-best time of 8.33 seconds at the Meyo Invitational… Member of the winning women’s 4x400m relay team at the Meyo Invitational with a time of 3:31.88 that ranks second in school history and makes the Hurricanes the second-fastest team in the country… Finished fifth in the 60m HH final with a time of 8.35 seconds at the Tiger Paw Invitational. Also, competed in the long jump and placed 13th with a personal-best throw of 12.30m in the shot put… Atherley was Miami’s first ACC indoor champion in 2017, winning the women’s pentathlon with a school record and ACC Championship record score of 4,281 points… Won the womens pentathlon 60m hurdles with a time of 8.35 seconds and followed with a season-best mark of 1.76m to win the high jump with a mark that placed her fourth in UM history. Finished second in the shot put with a throw of 11.76m and finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 5.76m. Led the pentathlon through all five events, closed out her title with a personal-best time of 2:15.86 in the 800m… Finished fourth in the women’s pentathlon with a school record and personal best score of 4,310 points at the NCAA Championships. Opened the competition with a time of 8.21 seconds in the 60m hurdles, tying her personal best from the ACC Indoor Championships 60m hurdles final, followed with a mark of 1.75m in the high jump and posted a personal-best 12.69m in the shot put. Had a long jump of 5.67m and closed out the pentathlon with a time of 2:17.05 in the 800m to score five points for Miami’s women’s team… Member of the 4×400 women’s relay team that placed seventh at the NCAA Championships…
Atherley joins the Hurricanes after competing as a freshman at Auburn. The North Port, Fla., native returns to her home state following a strong 2016 season. She was the only freshman in the nation to qualify for the 2016 NCAA Indoor Championships in the pentathlon and also anchored Auburn’s 4x100m relay at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Success on the track is not new to Athlerey, who was a indoor and outdoor All-American as a senior at Port Charlotte High School in 2015. She won back-to-back district and regional championships in the 100m and 300m hurdles was the 2015 Florida Class 3A state runner-up in the 100m hurdles as a senior. Atherley was also a 2015 Weightlifting Florida State Champion.
