2009 Outdoor: Advanced to the finals of the NCAA Championships (6/12), where she placed ninth with a time of 58.73 seconds… Won the NCAA East Region (5/30) 400-meter hurdles Championship with a personal-best time of 56.65 seconds… Reached the regional qualifying standard of 1:00.82 in the 400-meter hurdles on seven occasions…Won the Hurricane Invitational (3/21) in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:00.61 seconds… A member of the 4×400 relay team that won the event at the Georgia Tech Invitational (5/16) with a season-best time of 3:36.32.
2009 Indoor:Ran a season-best time of 55.34 seconds in the 400-meter dash at the ACC Championships (2/28), placing fifth… Won the 400- meter dash at the Virginia Tech Elite (2/7) with a time of 55.43 seconds… A member of the 4×400 relay team that ran a season-best time of 3:38.46 at the Texas A&M Invitational (2/14).
2008 Outdoor: Ran a season-best 54.30 at the ACC Championships in the 400-meters, placing fifth and qualifying for the NCAA Regionals… Also qualified for regionals in the 400-meter hurdles on three occasions, with her best time of 59.59 coming at the Hurricane Challenge… Member of the 4×400 relay that qualified for the regionals on four different occasions.
2008 Indoor:Ran a season best 55.66 in the preliminary heat of the 400-meters at the Tyson Invitational… Ran the 800-meters once with a time of 2:22.41 at the Virginia Tech Invitational…Member of the 4×400 relay team that ran a provisional time of 3:37.83 at the Tyson Invitational… Member of the distance medley relay that ran at the University of Illinois Invite, placing third with a time of 12:32.03.
HIGH SCHOOL: Named Parade High School All-American all four years… Indoor athlete of the year as a junior… Also named all-metropolitan all four years, and ranked No. 1 in U.S. in the 500m with a time of 1:12.40, fourth all-time… Fourth fastest 400m hurdles time in nation (59.02)… Member of nation’s fastest 4X400 (3:39.44) and 4X800 (8:51.19) relay teams… Represented the USA at the Caribbean Scholastic Invitational.
PERSONAL: A criminolgy major… Enjoys reading books and taking walks by herself… Favorite athlete is Sanya Richards… Some of her favorite movies include, “Love & Basketball” and “Brown Sugar”.
