CAREER: Has eight receptions in three seasons as a reserve wide receiver while playing in 35 games and making five starts…Team’s recipient of the Humanitarian Award at the MPC Computers Bowl in 2006…Also ran track the last three springs.

2007 (JUNIOR): Backup wide receiver and special teams player … Played in all 12 games, making one reception … Was one of two gunners on kick coverage, forcing a team-high eight fair catches on the punt team … Started in a three-wide receiver formation against Marshall and against Georgia Tech … Played on special teams in games against Virginia, NC State, Florida State, North Carolina, Duke, Texas A&M, FIU, Marshall and Oklahoma … Made lone reception of the season for 15 yards at Virginia Tech … Also participated on the men’s track team.

2006 (SOPHOMORE): Reserve wide receiver played in 11 games, making three starts…Caught five passes for 51 yards…Recipient of the Humanitarian Award presented at the MPC Computers Bowl… Caught one pass for 15 yards as a reserve vs. Florida A&M…Had one reception for 23 yards vs. Houston…Caught two passes for 16 yards at Duke … Played as a reserve wideout against Louisville, North Carolina, FIU, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Boston College and in the bowl game vs. Nevada.

2005 (FRESHMAN): Played in all 12 games as a reserve wide receiver and on special teams…For the year, caught two passes for 30 yards…Played in his first game as a Hurricane in the season opener at Florida State, appearing on special teams…Saw his first action at wide receiver vs. South Florida in game four…Saw considerable action at wide receiver in the second half vs. Duke, and made his first collegiate reception, a 16-yarder…Played as a backup at Temple, seeing plenty of action in a 34-3 rout. Made a 14-yard reception…Played on special teams and as a reserve wideout for the final six games but did not have any receptions…Received the Mariutto Scholar Athlete Award for academic excellence.

2004 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt…Played on the scout team all year.

HIGH SCHOOL: Solid pass catcher and good blocker who also was used at tight end…Two-year starter for one of south Florida’s top high school programs…Rated the No. 19 prospect on the Miami Herald’s Miami-Dade Top 25…Rated the No. 63 prospect in Florida by SuperPrep…As a senior in 2003, caught 25 passes for 720 yards (28.8 avg.) and four touchdowns…As a junior, caught 21 passes for 250 yards…Chose Miami over Pittsburgh, Indiana, South Florida and Iowa…Coached by Roland Smith.
