Junior Cheerleaders
The Hurricanes Junior Cheer and Dance program is an instructional and performance opportunity for cheerleaders and dancers in K – 8th grade. Your child can wear an authentic cheer or dance uniform with their very own set of poms and perform alongside the Hurricanes Cheer and Sunsations Dance teams at Hard Rock Stadium or the Watsco Center!
Ticket Options:
– Participant Package WITH game ticket – $350
– Participant package WITHOUT game ticket – $280
– Family & Friends Ticket – $80
Participant package includes authentic cheerleading uniform, bow, practices, meet and greet with Sebastian the Ibis, and game performance on the Field.
Performance Date and Times (***subject to change***):
Uniform Fitting: Saturday, August 29th 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM by appointment which will be given once registration closes
Practice #1: Will be held on the weekend of September 18th (exact date and time TBA)
Practice #2: Friday, October 16th 4:30 to 6:30 PM in the Carol Soffer Indoor Practice Facility
Practice #3: Saturday, November 7th OR Sunday, November 8th 9:00 to 11:00 AM in the Carol Soffer Indoor Practice Facility (exact date TBA)
Performance: November 21st at Halftime of the Miami Hurricanes vs Virginia Tech Hokies football game at Hard Rock Stadium (Game start time is TBA)
All participants and guests must have a game ticket. Tickets are required for entry into the stadium. The participant package without a ticket is for Season Ticket holders who do not need a game ticket.
Who is eligible to participate?
The Hurricanes Junior Cheerleaders program is an instructional and performance opportunity for cheerleaders and dancers in K – 8th grade.
No prior cheerleading or dance experience is necessary to participate.
Participants are required to attend all practices and performances.
A guardian for each child must complete a release form that will be provided at the fitting.
What should my child wear to practice?
We encourage your child to wear athletic attire, sneakers, and to bring a water bottle for each practice
Am I able to stay and watch practice?
Yes! Spectators must follow all protocols set by Coaches to assure a smooth and safe practice.
What if my child wants to spend additional time practicing at home?
The routine material will be emailed following each practice so participants are able to continue practicing at home.
What if I need more tickets to the game to watch my child perform?
Additional seats for other family members and friends will be available for purchase!
