Served as coxswain for the Novice Eight … Called her first race against Connecticut out of the BIG EAST in a home meet … UM crossed at 8:28.72 in the race against the Huskies … Signaled the N8+ to a sixth place appearance in opening-day action, including a win over Sonoma, at the San Diego Crew Classic … Coxed the Novice Eight boat to a fifth place showing at the ACC Championships, finishing ahead of Boston College in the race.

Full name is Tiara Reneé Brown … Daughter of Derrick and Lorraine Brown … Has s sister, Tiffany (14) … Majoring in Psychology Pre-Med … Chose to attend UM because it’s one of the top colleges in the nation, and they have an excellent administration … Says her first impression of UM was it was a “home away from home.”
