2005 (Redshirt Junior): Earned All-American Honorable Mention Honors…named to the 2005 AVCA All-East Region Team…named to the 2005 All-ACC Second Team…finished with a career high 3.99 kills per game average, second on the team, and 483 total kills…played in all 30 of Miami’s matches while starting in a career high 27…second on the team with 100 total blocks (25 BS – 75 BA) for a 0.83 blocks per game average…hit .500 percent or better three times, including a team high .591 attacking performance against Jacksonville State off the strength of 14 kills on 21 attempts while committing only one error…named ACC Player of the Week on October 17 after leading the team to victories over Virginia Tech and Florida State…posted a season high 23 kills in 4 games against N.C. State and 23 kills in 5 games on two other occasions…posted 28 double digit kill performances…tallied a season-high nine digs against North Carolina…matched a career-high when she dished out two assists in Miami’s three-game win at Wake Forest …named to Hurricane Invitational All-Tournament Team…third in the UM all-time career attacking list with a .292 percentage after three seasons.
2004 (Redshirt Sophomore): Became a staple in the Hurricanes’ starting rotation playing in every one of Miami’s 26 matches…her explosive quick-strike and leaping abilities allowed her to average 2.44 kills per game, third on the team, and total 237 kills…improved defensively, posting 101 total blocks (15 BS – 86 BA) for a 1.04 blocks per game average…hit .500 percent or better six times, including a .650 attacking performance off the strength of 14 kills on 20 attempts while committing only one error against Wisconsin-Milwaukee…posted a season-high 15 kills in four games against Maryland…matched a career-high when she dished out two assists in Miami’s five-game win at Florida State…posted 10 double digit kill performances…tallied a season-high three digs on seven different occasions (LMU, LSU, FSU, Virginia Tech, NC State, Clemson and USF)…posted a career-high 10 blocks (4 BS – 6 BA) against LSU… third in the UM all-time career attacking list with a .276 percentage after two seasons.
2003 (Redshirt Freshman): Became a major force up the middle both offensively and defensively for the Hurricanes in her first season of competition…played in all but one of the Hurricanes’ 31 matches in 2003 with 21 starts, appearing in 86 games…earned BIG EAST Rookie of the Week honors on Oct. 12 after leading the Hurricanes to wins over Georgetown and Villanova…led Miami with a .326 hitting percentage from her middle blocker position, totaling 190 kills on 411 attempts with 56 errors…third on the team in total blocks (71.0) and blocks per game (0.83)…finished with a 2.21 kill per game average…played one of the best games of any Hurricane in 2003 against St. John’s, recording a career-high 17 kills and 6.0 total blocks for 20.5 points, while posting a .517 hitting percentage on 29 attempts…posted six double digit kill performances including matches against San Diego State (10), Connecticut (12), St. John’s (17), Pittsburgh (11), Central Florida (10), and Syracuse (12)…hit for better than .400 percent 11 times including a season high .875 mark against Villanova, connecting for seven kills on eight attempts with no errors…recorded two six total block matches, once against South Florida (one solo, five assists) and once against St. John’s (one solo, five assists)…was honored as the team’s Most Improved Player.
2002 (Redshirt): Granted a redshirt during her freshman year.
High School (Fort Myers): A two-year letterwinner in volleyball at Ft. Myers High School, Savage guided her team to back-to-back consecutive conference, district and South Florida Invitational Championship titles…she led the Green Wave to a Regional runner-up finish her senior year and, before that, Regional semi-finals her junior season…as a senior, Savage started at the middle-blocker position…was named first-team all conference and selected to the Fort Myers News Press First-Team and the District 16 FACA First Team…earned FACA Player of the Year honors …named third-team all state and was voted her team’s Most Valuable Player…led her team to a 26-4 overall record and a 10-0 conference record…amassed 128 kills (4.26 kills per game, .313 attack percentage) and 152 blocks…as a junior, Savage led the Green Wave to a 30-3 record and 10-0 conference mark.
Club (USA South): Took first place at President’s Day Tournament, won Power League Qualifier, won Cloverleaf, and placed seventh at Disney Invitational during senior year…took fifth at Denver tournament and fifth at regionals during junior year.
Personal: Goes by the nickname “Frannie”… Is one of six children has two sisters and three brothers…majoring in international marketing and finance.
