2019 Outdoor: Finished third in the men’s 5000m run with a personal-best time of 15:28.59, taking nearly 16 seconds off his previous best time… Competed in the men’s 3000m run at the Power 5 Trailblazer Challenge, finishing with a time of 9:01.74…FInished seventh with a time of 15:52.23 in the men’s 5000 m run at the Alumni Invitational.

2018 Outdoor: Recorded a personal-best time of 16:38.89 in the 5000m at the Florida Relays… Finished sixth at the Hurricane Alumni Meet in the men’s 5000m…Was third in the men’s 3000m with a personal0best time of 9:13.93 at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational… Ran a personal best time of 15:44.76 in the men’s 5000m at the Tiger Paw Invite. 

2018 Cross Country: Finished sixth in men’s 5K at FAU Invitational with a time of 15:38.39… Won the men’s 8K at the UCF Invitational with a time of 27:44.1… Finished 24th in Mountain Dew Invitational with a time of 25:39.13… Continued to lead the Canes by crossing the finish line first for Miami at the USF Invitational 8K with a time of 28:35.92… Posted an impressive 26:13.8 at the ACC Championships… Was the lone Miami runner to compete at the NCAA Regional 10K and registered a time of 32:35.0. 

High School: Was in the National Honor Society and finished Cum Laude… Captained the track team in his junior and senior year… Was named to the All-State Cross Country team his junior year. 

Personal: Son of Dean and Nancy Sykes… Has two older brothers, Jordan (24) and Tyler (24)… Jordan attended the University of Michigan and Tyler attended Michigan Technological University… Jordan was on the crew team while at Michigan.
