Played in 30 of the team’s 31 matches … Finished the season with 119 kills, 22 service aces, 36 digs and 50 blocks … Ranked fourth on the team in both aces and blocks … Her 22 service aces were 15 more than she had her first two seasons at UM combined … Reached on double-digit kills on five occasions, including four times in a span of eight matches from Oct. 13 to Nov. 3 … After averaging 2.2 kills per match through UM’s first 14 matches, averaged 5.4 per game over the team’s final 16 matches … Recorded a season-high 11 kills on two occasions (8/24 & 10/27) … Hit a career-high .562 (10 K, 1 E, 16 TA) at Wake Forest (11/3) … Had a season-best 7.0 total blocks (2 BS, 5 BA) against North Carolina (11/21) … Recorded double-digit points in six of the team’s final 16 matches … Tallied a season-high three service aces on five occasions … Ranked third on the team in blocks per game (0.62) and fifth on the team in hitting percentage (.194) … Finished the season as one of two Hurricanes, along with Bridget Bomhack, to record at least 100 kills, 20 aces and 50 blocks … Named co-winner for the team’s Unsung Hero Award, given to the player(s) who demonstrated a hard work ethic but whose efforts may have gone unnoticed throughout the season.
Sophomore – 2006
Played in 25 matches and 63 games for the Hurricanes … Posted a season-high eight blocks against Jacksonville … Recorded 50 total blocks for the season … Averaged 1.32 kills per game … Had a season-high nine kills at Wake Forest … Finished the season with three aces and 23 digs.
Freshman – 2005
Named the team’s Most Improved Player … Played in 66 games … Moved into the starting lineup after opening the season on the bench … Tallied 1.58 kills and 1.08 blocks per game … Posted a team-best nine total blocks (1 BS, 8 BA) against Wake Forest … Tied a Miami all-time match record with five solo blocks against Virginia Tech … Tallied a season-best 12 kills against Florida State … Led the team in total blocks in six matches during the season.
Alief Taylor High School
Named team captain as a senior … Garnered First Team All-District honors and was named team Offensive MVP her junior and senior seasons … As a senior, was named to the Santa Fe and Sealy All-Tournament Teams … Tallied 193 total blocks in 2004 … Earned All-District academic honors as a sophomore, junior and senior … Named team Defensive Player of the Year as a junior and Most Improved Player as a sophomore … Was on the “A” and “B” Honor Roll for five semesters … Graduated cum laude.
Club – Spike Sport
Named Most Improved Player of the Year in 2004 … Competed in the AAU Nationals at Disney’s Wide World of Sports and in the Las Vegas Lone Star and Tour of Texas tournaments.
