A total of $24,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to the top-attending student organizations throughout the 2026-27 school year. The organization that accumulates the most attendance points will earn the $10,000 grand prize.
The complete prize breakdown is below:
- First Place: $10,000
- Second Place: $5,000
- Third Place: $4,000
- Fourth Place: $3,000
- Fifth Place: $2,000
Category 5 captured the grand prize during last year’s inaugural competition, while nine other student organizations earned prize money, including Pi Tau Sigma, the Homecoming Executive Committee, Lambda Chi Alpha and IBIS Yearbook.
To participate in the Canes Pride Competition, students must download the CanesUnited Student Rewards app at CanesUnitedRewards.com, create a profile and select their student organization or organizations. Students can then begin attending designated events and checking in through the app to earn points for their respective groups.
Student organizations can monitor the Canes Pride leaderboard throughout the year to follow the standings in real time. Incoming Miami students can begin checking in to events as early as Aug. 10 during the Cane Kickoff student orientation program.
In addition to competing on behalf of their organizations, students can earn individual rewards throughout the year for their attendance and loyalty. Rewards include Miami Hurricanes merchandise, signed memorabilia, electronics and tickets to high-interest events throughout the community.
