Cuvet, Bilka Named D1Baseball Preseason All-Americans
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami third baseman Daniel Cuvet, a two-time preseason First Team All-American, and right-handed pitcher Ryan Bilka have been named Preseason All-Americans by D1Baseball ahead of the 2026 season.
Cuvet was named to the first team, while Bilka earned third team honors.
Cuvet was also named a Perfect Game Preseason First Team All-American, giving him two preseason First Team honors entering the 2026 season.
Cuvet is coming off a standout sophomore season in which he emerged as one of the most productive hitters in college baseball. In 2025, he started 61 games and posted a .372 batting average with 84 hits, 18 home runs, 84 RBI, 20 doubles and a .708 slugging percentage, while reaching base at a .450 clip.
Cuvet continued his strong play in the postseason, earning Hattiesburg Regional MVP honors after batting .385 with two doubles, a home run and five RBI to help Miami advance to the NCAA Louisville Super Regional for the first time since 2016.
Across his first two collegiate seasons, Cuvet has appeared in 118 games, compiling a .361 career batting average with 165 hits, 42 home runs, 159 RBI, 35 doubles and a 1.161 OPS.
Miami right-handed pitcher Ryan Bilka was also named a D1Baseball Preseason All-American following a strong season at Richmond Spiders baseball prior to transferring to Miami.
Bilka posted a 2.18 ERA during the 2025 season at Richmond, recording a 6–2 record with three saves across 18 appearances. He logged 62.0 innings, allowing 43 hits and 15 earned runs, while striking out 57 batters and holding opponents to a .193 batting average.
Miami opens the 2026 season on Friday, Feb. 13, against Lehigh at Mark Light Field, with first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m.
